Upperclassman Instrumental Music
Description:
Students receiving upperclass scholarships must be music majors or minors.
Students receiving upperclass music scholarships are required to participate in an ensemble on the instrument for which they received the scholarship throughout the award year (allowable exceptions may include student teaching or internships).
Non-major status or non-participation in an appropriate ensemble will result in forfeiture of the scholarship.
Upperclass Scholarship applicants must possess a University GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Additional Requirements:
Applicants will be expected to participate in an interview with a panel of faculty judges during the Upperclass Scholarship Audition Day (held in March, exact date TBA).
Attach a .pdf copy of your current transcript or DARS report (Both are available on eServices for MSUM students).
Attach a Music Resume that lists your instrument/vocal range, past and current ensemble participation (curricular and extracurricular), years of applied study, teachers, awards received, honors/achievements, service to your ensembles, school, and community.
