Overview
New first-year Students with a 3.6+ cumulative GPA or a 28+ ACT are invited to participate in Southwest Scholars Day on Monday, January 26th. Students who participate in this scholarship competition will eligible for the top scholarships at SMSU and through the SMSU Foundation.

Southwest Scholars Day is an all day event where students have the opportunity to meet one another, attend mock lectures and learn more about SMSU's honors program and more. During the day each student will have a 30 minute individual interview with a small committee. Scholarship decisions will be based on this 30 mintute interview.

To participate students must fill out the AwardSpring application and upload an a copy of their transcipt, showing that they meet the elgiblity criteria, before January 15th.

Applicants must meet all of the qualifications in at least one of the following groups
