Social Studies Education Alumni Scholarship

Applicants must

be students who have declared their major as Social Studies Education
have at least 70 credits
have a cumulative GPA 3.0 or above
Preference will be given to students who have a proven track record in areas such as global, U.S. diversity, civic and community service experiences.
Experiences include but not limited to:
Global: Living or traveling outside the U.S. for an extended period of time. Extended study of a foreign language, participation in Model United Nations and/or involvement with international student programs.
U.S. Diversity: Living, working and/or significantly interacting with American racial minorities and people with disabilities.
Civic: Volunteering in a political campaign. Serving on the board of a community-based organization or as an officer of a student organization.
Service: Performing volunteer work with an organization such as the YMCA, Food Shelf etc.
