Saara Myrene Raappana Endowed Scholarship

Overview
The Saara Myrene Raappana Endowed Scholarship is to be awarded to an English Major with a Creative Writing emphasis. The student needs to be in good academic standing, enrolled full-time and be a transfer student from a Community College, non PSEO/Concurrent enrollment.

The applicant must submit a 300 word essay which explains how they will live out 2-3 of the following characteristics important to Saara:
1. Dedication to complexity of thought language and form in writing while still being accessible to most readers.
2. A love all animals.
3. One's own distinct bold fashion sense.
4. A dedication to physical fitness while also opposing diet culture and toxic messages from the physical fitness industry.
5. A practice of intentional inclusion especially of those normally not included.
6. A love and appreciation of winter.
