Scholarship Description:
The Metropolitan State University Foundation and School of Urban Education are pleased to announce the Roger and Nancy McCabe Endowed Scholarship in Urban Teaching designated for any urban teacher candidate taking coursework or student teaching during the academic year.
Awards average around $1,000.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be admitted to the School of Urban Education at Metropolitan State University by the scholarship application deadline date
Must be registered for the semester(s) in which the funds are applied
Demonstrated culturally and linguistically diverse life experiences that will enhance your potential for success as an urban teacher of diverse youth (Evidence: Scholarship application essay)
Demonstrated financial need and positive impact receiving a scholarship would have on your ability to accomplish your academic goals
Have a Metropolitan State University cumulative GPA of 2.50 or greater for Undergraduates
Must submit an essay
Complete “Student Certification and Consent” form
