Scholarship Description:

This scholarship is for English undergraduate majors who have demonstrated capacity to excel academically in college and who meet one of the two following sets of criteria.

This scholarship provides awards that can range from approximately $1000-$3000 for tuition and fees, and are generally split evenly between Fall and Spring semesters.

Eligibility Criteria:

Be officially admitted to Metropolitan State University by scholarship application deadline date
Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in English
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Must submit an essay
Complete “Student Certification and Consent” form
Essay Questions:

Please submit an essay (minimum of 250 words) answering the following essay questions/topics:

What led you to include study of English in your Metropolitan State University degree program?
Are there additional ways in which this scholarship award will help your studies?
Tell us how you plan to use your work in English.
