Rein in Sarcoma Jan Maudlin Scholarship

Applicants must:

Be current Advanced Practice nursing students
Have an above average academic record
Have an interest in oncology
Have an interest in educating other students and the community
Have a commitment to service
Recipients will have the following opportunities:

Volunteer/attend Rein In Sarcoma awareness events, including their annual “Party in the Park” and other events, as able
Educational boot camp modules on sarcoma diagnosis and treatment
Meet with a sarcoma survivor facilitated by Rein in Sarcoma
Sarcoma related education/research project (in partnership with University mentor or Rein In Sarcoma) to educate and raise awareness about sarcoma cancers in the medical community and general public
Quarterly scholar meetings
Educational sessions for peers focusing on the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal tumors by a sarcoma expert and a survivor
