Rainy River Campus - Edith & Art Holmstrom Scholarship

Overview
This scholarship was established by people who truly value higher education and Rainy River Community College. Both Edith and Art graduated from Falls High School, and both continued their education to enjoy wonderful careers. Edith’s career started in nursing. As she earned more and more degrees she continued in health-related careers. Art was a tuberculosis survivor who majored in physics and minored in math. He worked in the Mando research lab and later in Insulite. Both retired at age 59.5. Having no children of their own, they were foster parents and later became host parents to foreign exchange students, most of whom attended Rainy River. Regretfully Art passed away in 2009. Edith joined him in 2015.

Qualifications
Applicant must be female.
Applicant must be attending the Rainy River Campus.
Applicant must be planning a career in health care, science or technology (computer).
