Pamela M. Hartley Endowed Scholarship

Overview
Scholarship Description:

This scholarship provides financial assistance to current Metro State students to help them graduate. The scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students with demonstrated financial need.

Awards average around $1,000.

Donor Profile:

In August 2016 Pamela M. Hartley, alumna who graduated in 1997, decided to create a pipeline to help current Metro State students graduate. When she enrolled at Metro State, she had a limited amount of time. The classes at Metro State offered the perfect flexibility and schedule that she needed to graduate. According to Pam, Metro State was the only university that fit into her schedule. Her new degree has taken her to much success in her life.

She tells the quintessential Metro State story, “I am excited about the opportunity of helping a student reach their goal of graduation. When I graduated, I received a 30% increase in salary, and work as a business analyst, really a dream job for me at the time. The person who found my resume on a professional organization site said that what interested him was the fact that I went back to school to get the degree. So finishing your undergraduate degree is something that employers are interested in, as it shows a commitment to realizing a goal. I know that this scholarship will grow over time, and help many students to follow their dream.”
