Miriam Spitzer-Norman Weisman Memorial Scholarship in Synoptic Meteorology

1. Meteorology major 2. Minimum GPA of 2.75 overall and 3.25 in major courses (must complete the Academic Record portion of the general scholarship application) 3. Practice in preparing own forecast outside the classroom, which may include the National Weather Challenge or other activities (answer the meteorology questions under College of Science & Engineering questions on the general scholarship application) 4. Has career/educational goals consistent with synoptic meteorology, either in employment after graduation or intending further study of synoptic meteorology in graduate school (as described on scholarship application) 5. Demonstrated individual accomplishments such as internships in operational meteorology, student research, and community service (answer the meteorology questions under College of Science & Engineering Questions on the general scholarship application) 6. Enrolled full-time when the scholarship is received
