Marina S. Anderson Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship Description:

The Marina S. Anderson Endowed Scholarship is available to Metropolitan State University undergraduate students. Paul and Jan Anderson (Jan is a former Metropolitan State University employee) wish to honor the memory of their daughter Marina who is remembered for her remarkable commitment to justice and equity.

DACA students are encouraged to apply.

Average award is $1,000.

Eligibility Criteria:

Be officially admitted to Metropolitan State University by scholarship application deadline date
Registered for each semester(s) in which the funds are applied as at least a half time student (a minimum of 6 credits)
Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average
Preference given to Latinx students
Must submit an essay
Maintain satisfactory academic progress
Complete “Student Certification and Consent” form
Essay Question:

Please submit an essay (minimum of 250 words, no more than two double spaced pages) answering the following essay question/topic:

Describe your community service experience.
How will you embody justice and create an equitable society?

Be sure the requirements for the scholarship(s) you are applying for are available when you work with them.
