Levig Memorial Endowed

Overview
This scholarship honors Dr. Thomas B Levig, who opened the doors of the East Central Community College Service Center on May 4, 1978. Tom's move to Cambridge was his commitment to develop a true community college there by being a part of the community and making the community a part of the college. Tom kept that commitment because he quickly realized the need for higher education in the area. The name of the institution that Tom developed changed--often--over the years, currently Anoka-Ramsey Cambridge Campus, but to Tom Levig, to the students, to the faculty and staff, and to the people in East Central Minnesota, it truly became their college.
