LeAnn C. Tolk Scholarship
Overview
Donated by LeAnn C. Tolk Charitable Trust. The recipient must come from a rural farming community of less than 25,000 people (preference from smaller communities in Western MN and Eastern SD). The recipient must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA, recommendation from SMSU faculty or staff member and must also be recognized for outstanding academic achievement, participation on campus and community activities and work ethic. Additional consideration will be given to those who are first generation college students and/or have overcome extraordinary personal, financial or academic challenges.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet all of the qualifications in at least one of the following groups
Application status must be active.
Applicant undergraduate GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0.
Applicant must be a permanent resident of Big Stone, Brookings, Brown, Chippewa, Clark, Clay, Codington, Day, Deuel, Douglas, Hamlin, Kandiyohi, Kingsbury, Lac Qui Parle, Lake, Lyon, Marshall, Martin, McCook, Minnehaha, Moody, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, Pope, Redwood, Renville, Roberts, Rock, Stevens, Swift, Traverse, Turner, Union, Watonwan, or Yellow Medicine County.
Applicant must be a permanent resident of Minnesota or South Dakota.
Applicant must be a Freshman, Junior or Sophomore.
