Established by John P. Mattson, former publisher of the Thief River Falls Times and past Treasurer of the NCTC Foundation.

Qualifications
Applicant must be a student at the Thief River Falls campus
Applicant must be enrolled full time (12+ credit hours)
Applicant must be involved in extra-curricular activities at Northland
Must be a student in the Liberal Arts - Communications & Humanities pathway
Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA or greater
