Immigrant Student Endowed Scholarship

Overview
Scholarship Description:

An immigrant herself, Dr. Gemma Punti, a professor in the College of Individualized Studies, established this scholarship with the support of her family. She was inspired to start this scholarship because of her research on immigrants' educational experiences and after volunteering on a scholarship award committee at Metro State. Reading student essays, she was inspired by immigrant students dreams for the future and impressed by the barriers they had overcome. Dr. Punti intends for this scholarship to support undocumented and immigrant students with financial need on their path to graduation.
