Haki Scholarship

The word "Haki" means "justice" in Swahili. This scholarship is donated in honor of former RCTC employee, Chao Mwatela and is available to incoming or returning students with financial need, have a commitment to supporting diversity, equity and inclusion as identified by an essay question. Additional consideration will be given for students that are undocumented, international students, BIPOC, English Language Learners. Additional consideration will also be given for students that are single parents, or are raised by single parents or are first generation college students.
