This scholarship was established through a commitment to minimize barriers in order to make academic travel more accessible to all students. This funding supports students who are in historically marginalized and underrepresented communities in study abroad programs, including but not limited to: LGBTQI+, mental or physical limitation, veteran, and first-generation college students.

Eligibility Criteria:
Financial need
Enrolled in a Normandale Community College Academic Travel Course or Study Abroad Program
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
Awarded to a student whose identity is underserved and underrepresented in study abroad/away programming
