Overview
The English, Philosophy, Spanish, and Humanities Department Student of Excellence Endowed Scholarship is intended for a student majoring or minoring in a major or minor housed within the EPSH Department. The student must have completed a minimum of 12 credits at SMSU, with at least two classes having been completed in their EPSH major or minor. The student will have a minimum GPA of 3.0. A detailed narrative essay about how the student's studies in their major or minor have contributed (or will contribute) to their personal and academic growth, and/or how these studies will help them in the work world is required. Essays should be a minimum of 500 words, not to exceed 2000 words.
