Criminal Justice Endowed Scholarship
Overview
Scholarship Description:
In 2005 a local couple who had grown up on a farm made a gift to provide scholarships to Metro students.
The couple had a GED and high school diploma between them; neither had the opportunity to go to college. They both recognized that life would have been easier if they had that education. As a result, they wanted to provide support to someone else who may face challenges pursuing a degree, such as lack of financial means, recent immigration, or being the first in one’s family to go to college.
These funds provide a scholarship to Criminal Justice students of approximately $1,000.
