Charles Patrick Arthur Endowed Scholarship

Overview
Scholarship Description:

This scholarship honors the life and legacy of Charles Patrick Arthur, a world war II veteran, graduate of Cornell University and the first in his family to attain a bachelor’s degree. He was also the inspiration, mentor and older brother of Metropolitan State University’s current president Virginia (Ginny) Arthur. Ginny attributes her success to her brother’s encouragement and example. In many ways the students she serves at Metropolitan State University mirror the achievements of her brother; each showed the courage and persistence to succeed in spite of obstacles.
