Bruce F. Vento Science Educator Scholarship (Undergraduate Student)
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be admitted to the School of Urban Education at Metropolitan State University by the scholarship application deadline date
Must be an undergraduate or graduate teacher candidate in the Urban Education Program and interested in teaching life sciences and elementary education in urban schools
Must be registered for the semester(s) in which the funds are applied
Demonstrated culturally and linguistically diverse life experiences that will enhance your potential for success as an urban teacher of diverse youth
Demonstrated financial need and positive impact receiving a scholarship would have on your ability to accomplish your academic goals
Have a Metropolitan State University cumulative GPA of 2.50 or greater for Undergraduates and a GPA of 2.75 or greater for Graduate Students
Must submit an essay
Complete “Student Certification and Consent” form

Please submit an essay (minimum of 250 words, no more than two double spaced pages) to this application form addressing the following points:
Demonstrated financial need and positive impact receiving a scholarship would have on your ability to accomplish your academic goals.
Demonstrated culturally and linguistically diverse life experiences that will enhance your potential for success as an urban teacher of diverse youth.

Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
