Arlyss Nelson Scholarship
Overview
Scholarship Description: This privately funded scholarship has been made possible by the generosity of benefactors to the Metropolitan State University Foundation.
The Arlyss Nelson Scholarship will be awarded to students in the College of Business and Management at Metro State University
Awards are $1,000.
Eligibility Criteria:
Be officially admitted to Metropolitan State University by scholarship application deadline date
Must be admitted to a degree program in the College of Business Management
You must be an undergraduate or graduate student
You must be registered for a minimum of 6 credits in the semester(s) in which the funds are applied.
Preference may be given to single mothers and/or Native American students
Must complete an essay
Complete “Student Certification and Consent” form
Essay Question:
Please submit an essay (minimum of 150 words) answering the following essay question/topic:
How will a degree from the College of Business and Management at Metro State University impact your life?
Please indicate whether or not you are a single mother or Native American student.
Metro State’s Writing Center tutors will be happy to consult with you on your scholarship essay. You may schedule an appointment by logging into your D2L homepage and selecting the “CAE Tutoring” link, or going directly to https://mymetrostate.edu/my-apps/schedule-tutoring. Once there, you can schedule, modify, and cancel your appointments. All appointments (face-to-face, Zoom, and eTutorials) are scheduled through the online system. Be sure the requirements for the scholarship(s) you are applying for are available when you work with them.
