Andrew Hatlestad Memorial Scholarship

Andrew Hatlestad was a hardworking student and scholarship recipient at Ridgewater College. He was smart, kind, witty and helpful.
He grew up on the family farm west of New London and was cherished and deeply loved by his family, friends and members of his
church and community. He worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bethesda in Willmar while attending Ridgewater College in the
Registered Nursing Program. Andrew lost his life from injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident at the start of his second year
at Ridgewater College. This scholarship is established to honor Andrew’s memory and help others the way Andrew would have in his
future as an RN. The award goes to a student in the RN program on the Willmar campus taking eight or more credits with a GPA of 2.5
or higher.
